In 4 weeks, The Boston Language Institute will train you to teach English in the U.S. or abroad, with an international TEFL/TESL Certificate.

The Boston Language Institute is one of the few TEFL* (referred to as TESL in English speaking countries) certification schools in the US offering monthly intensive English teacher-training certificate programs and frequent part-time (Saturday) programs. We are the first school to offer a special TEFL Certificate Program for non-native speakers of English. The Institute has been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and foreign languages successfully since 1981, always stressing authentic and effective communication. In designing our TEFL/TESL Certificate course, we have drawn on this experience to provide a lively, interactive training program that will show you how to teach the kind of creative and dynamic lessons that win our language teachers so much praise.

Since its creation in April 2000, the TEFL/TESL Certificate program has trained just under 1000 teachers. Our graduates teach in over 20 countries around the world -- China, Japan, Korea, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Spain and Morocco, to name a few -- while a good number teach here in the United States. Many have written to tell us how much the TEFL course helped them to prepare for their career in ESL and EFL. A number of them have taught ESL at the Institute, as well as foreign languages, and a few have even returned to become TEFL trainers.
