New England's most broadly based language organization and ESL school, The Boston Language Institute has been teaching English as a Second Language since 1981, with the mission of providing students with an extraordinary opportunity to learn English in a friendly and supportive environment, both on-site and on-line.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Programs

Our English as a Second Language (ESL) programs are tailored to the specific language needs of our students, and our program coordinators are always available to discuss different options with you.

Before beginning a program, each student is given a comprehensive oral interview and written placement test. To assure that progress meets the student's expectations, each student's instruction is continually monitored by the Department of English as a Second Language. At the end of each program, an interview and exam provide the Institute and the student with a final measure of achievement and the basis for a Certificate of Completion.
