FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROGRAMS
The Boston Language Institute is one of the most diverse language schools in the United States. Since 1981, we have taught over 140 languages, including English as a Second Language, to more than 45,000 students with quality of instruction and client service as our guiding principles. This has enabled us to treat each language as if it were the only one we taught. We offer several programs of instruction organized in different formats designed to meet your linguistic goals, as well as your budgetary and scheduling needs.
In addition to such languages as Arabic, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Farsi, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swahili classes offered year round in classes of 4 to 12 students, the Institute also arranges private and semi-private instruction in foreign languages such as Dutch, Hebrew, Latin, Polish, Thai, Vietnamese, and rare languages such as Khmer, Nepali, Tamil, Tibetan, Turkish and Urdu.
Core Programs - Classes of 4 to 12
We offer instruction in classes of 4 to 12 students in highly effective 8-week and accelerated 4-week sessions of daytime, evening and Saturday programs.
Intensive and Immersion Programs
The main goal of these programs, which meet in small classes of 4 to 12, is to help students, from day one, to increase confidence in their ability to use their new language in a wide range of real-life situations and improve their oral skills as they progress from level to level.
Private Programs
Private instruction offers students an opportunity to work one-on-one with an instructor at their own pace. In consultation with department staff, the instructor carefully selects materials and plans lessons to effectively meet the student's goals and individual learning style.
Corporate Programs
Our training in over 140 languages, along with our cross-cultural orientation seminars and executive coaching, have helped our clients succeed in the international arena. Whether on a one-on-one basis or in a group setting, we work closely with our clients, assisting them to choose a program that best fits their schedule and language needs.
Cross-Cultural Seminars
Through our International Business Consulting Practice, we help companies to understand cultural differences that can impede international business ventures or lead to communication problems within their own organization.
